Been slacking on any blog posts lately. Have hatched 4 clutches out so far this year. Only have one more cooking from banana X normal. Here are the results:
1.0 Bumblebee Enchi
1.0 Pastel trick
Hatched 3 GHI and 7 Normals from a 9 egg clutch. Thats right, we had twins! I think the twins made up for getting skunked on the odds even though both were normals.
Here are some pics of some rats we have in our rat shed. Haven't done a blog post in awhile. All our rats are fed Mazuri 6F so you know all our snakes have healthy food therefore healthy snakes!
Alright its been awhile since the last post but just had clutch #9 come out of the eggs. There was 10 eggs total and 1 died in the egg. It looked fully developed and the egg sac was broke with no twisted umbillicus so it probably was something internal not fully developed... Either way it was a nice turnout. Here are the results:
We would have had another male normal but he is the one that didnt make... Was really hoping for a holdback female champagne but will hold back the lesser for now. All the champagnes and the lesser along with the normals will be up for sale soon so check back on our website for what available. Just had a female pinstripe go through pre lay shed so hoping for good eggs in another 4 weeks and then have a YB female that just ovulated a few days ago. Should be the last 2 clutches for the year. Stay tuned!
Have had 3 more clutches come out since the last post. Nothing too exciting but hey we will take whatever we can get.
Clutch #5 Normal X Yellowbelly
Clutch #6 "Het Albino" X Albino
Was our second year trying to prove this girl out and will not try again.
3.3 100% Het Albinos
Clutch #7 Normal X Fire
Loved the outcome on this clutch!
Clutch #8 Slugged Out!
Only have one more clutch in the incubator as of now and it was a normal bred to a champagne, banana, and enchi. Should have one more clutch drop from a pinstripe to a black pastel and enchi and possibly one last one from a YB to a black pastel and champagne. Other than that this would be the end to our season. Next breeding season starts in 17 weeks for us and should be awesome! Hope everyone is having a good season.
I have no clue what to say for the first post.... 1ST! Hatchling Season has been underway. Probably will have a total of 9 good clutches this year. We have had 4 clucthes come out and shed. The results are :
Clutch #1 Norm X YB
Clutch#2 Het Albino X Albino
0.1 100% Het Albino
Clutch #3 Pastel X Fire
Clutch #4 Norm X Bumblebee
Had one small boob egg and it turned out to be a Normal!
One thing we are learning this breeding season is to be choosy of what we breed to what. We are going to hatch out a lot of YB this year. Not like its a bad thing but we might end up getting stuck with some for longer than I hope because there are so many YB out there. Still have one more clutch to drop in 45 days and that will be it for this season. Hope everyone is having a good season!
